Itīs the second most important mountain in Menorca.
Itīs 254 metres in height. It has a wild path until the top of the mountain. This path,
in some parts of it, is made in Roman roadway style. At rainy time itīs useful to wear
suitable shoes.

Going along the main road, between Ferrerias and
Ciutadella town, you need to go along Els Alocs turn off, until an abandoned
building. This building was a rural school time ago and itīs the beginning of the path to
the top of the mountain. From that old school to the top you need, approximately, 45
minutes walking. You can climb by bicycle, but itīs a little bit more difficult.

Itīs an excellent surveillance tower because of itīs
place. The Roman people used it like a military surveillance tower. After, this place was
used by Arabian people. They called it "SEN AGAIZ", where they built an amazing
palace to defence themselves from the invaders, but now itīs collapse. Arabian chief used
this place to go on holiday with musicians, thinkers, poets and artists from the Arabian
world.
When the Christian people came with they leader, Alfonso III, this wonderful place became the last point of resistance for the Arabian people in Menorca, after this place was surrendered to the invader. Christian people abandoned the place, neglected the gardens and left this incredible place collapsed.

The incredible landscape under our feet take us to a
magic world.
Hidden under the castle in ruins there is a treasure in gold called "Vadell dīor". Itīs a treasure in calf shape buried by the Arabian people. It has a magic sword stuck in itself. This calf is supposed to belong to middle age or Biblical time.
Haunted mountain, full of fairy tales, magic springs and holes with out bottom like "Es Pou de sīEncantament". Santa Agueda mountain is protecting the north of the island.
Used like sacred place, a lot of women climbed the mountain up to pray Saint Agueda. This saint cured chest-ache and she had a silver lamp. The legend talks about that lamp. That lamp, called "llāntia", was used to protect seamen and fishermen. All of them used the mountain to orient themselves in the middle of the sea.
